Last updated June 2026. We built My Living Pantry to be private by design.
The app has no accounts and no user database. Your favorites, taste profile, pantry, settings, and unlock status are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) on your device. We do not collect or store them on a server, and we cannot see them.
When you generate a recipe, your request text (and, for cook-from-a-photo, the image) is sent to our recipe service and on to the AI provider solely to produce the recipe. We don’t attach your identity to it and we don’t retain it to build a profile of you.
We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand which features are used and how the app performs. This does not use cookies to track you across sites and does not collect personally identifying information.
Purchases are processed by Gumroad as merchant of record. We never see or store your card details. Gumroad handles payment data under its own privacy policy.
