Cinnamon Apple Overnight Oats
Cinnamon was once worth more than gold, its source guarded for centuries behind tall tales of giant birds. A pinch is all it takes to turn a jar of oats into something that tastes like apple pie.
Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1 apple, grated
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- Pinch of salt
- Chopped walnuts to top
Method
- Stir everything except the walnuts together in a jar or bowl.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight, or at least 4 hours.
- In the morning, loosen with a splash of milk if needed, top with walnuts, and add a little extra grated apple.
