How to Grow Parsley Indoors

A vitamin-K and antioxidant powerhouse that is far more than a garnish.

Difficulty: EasyReady in 4–6 wksLight: BrightYou'll need: Deeper pot (taproot)

How to grow it

  1. Sow seed (soak overnight to speed slow germination) in a deeper pot for its taproot.
  2. Be patient — it can take two to three weeks to sprout.
  3. Keep moist and in a bright spot.
  4. Harvest outer stems at the base once established, leaving the center to grow.

Pro tip

Cut the outer stalks first; the plant keeps pushing new growth from the center.
