How to Grow Pea Shoots at Home

Tender, sweet shoots rich in vitamin C, folate, and antioxidants — and they often regrow for a second cut.

How to grow it

  1. Soak whole peas 8–12 hours, then scatter thickly over 1–2 inches of moist potting mix.
  2. Mist and cover for a few days until they sprout.
  3. Uncover and move to bright, indirect light; keep the soil damp.
  4. Snip above the soil at 2–3 weeks; many trays give a second harvest.

Cut just above the lowest leaves and the same tray often pushes a second flush.
